It is ON Nutty the Squirrel!

So this is not a craft post... but defintely post worthy...
I was planning on attending a Relief Society Retreat out in Wabamun (outside of Edmonton)and was getting ready to go, just finished packing my little bag out the car in fact, when my neighbor suggested that I look under our car hood. She said that she had seen some squirrels under there earlier and wanted to warn me that there might be a few pine cones underneath. I said thanks and went to get Brian, my husband, in case I might have needed his assistance. I'm glad I did...

Here is what our car looked like after Brian had cleared off some of the pine cones:

So after we had cleaned off all the pine cones, filling our hands with sap along the way, things were starting to look up again. Or so I thought. That was when Oskar, our 2 1/2 year old, who was helping clean out pine cones, sent his new neon green hotwheels car straight down the cold air intake for a little ride... Pretty Awesome huh?
Here is a picture of the culprit:

Minor set back right? Wrong.
It turns out that since our car is under warranty we have had no need to look under the hood much, except to check the oil. After some online research we learned that we are not supposed to change the air filter, no no, it is meant to last the life of the car and if we need it off, then we  get our dealership/mechanic to do it for us, as the whole dang thing has to come out!
Goodbye little green car, goodbye Relief Society Retreat...
I admit, it is pretty tough to stay upset with a face like that, especially when it's all dirty from playing outside...
Turns out I'm not so mad after all... though I am bummed about not getting out to the Retreat...

Hilarious! Of course I have a bit of bias when it comes to nutty squirrels! We have acorns and pecans hidden all over our house, in the couches and then along the door frames of the car.
